Technical Product Owner

ZEISS is seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead software requirements engineering and backlog ownership for medical device products. This role involves close collaboration with global teams to define and manage software requirements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Product Owner will bridge product needs with engineering execution, focusing on requirements and backlog management within a regulated environment.

• Own and author software requirements derived from system and product requirements
• Maintain and manage requirements documentation throughout the product lifecycle
• Collaborate with architects and developers to derive Detailed Software Requirements Specifications
• Ensure end-to-end traceability between requirements, design, implementation, and verification artifacts
• Own and manage the product backlog, including prioritization aligned with product roadmap
• Decompose requirements into features, epics, and user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria
