Research Product Manager, Model Behaviors

Anthropic is seeking a Research Product Manager to define and shape the character and behaviors of their AI model, Claude. This role involves identifying behavioral improvements, coordinating across research and product teams, and translating research breakthroughs into tangible product enhancements. The ideal candidate will combine user empathy with strong judgment to navigate complex AI behavior questions.

• Define behavioral defaults and steerability constraints
• Develop and maintain taxonomies of model behaviors
• Identify, triage, and prioritize behavior issues and opportunities
• Amplify alignment research breakthroughs into product improvements
• Understand user interaction patterns for model enhancement
• Contribute to evaluations measuring alignment progress
