Health and Safety Associate - UBC Facilities

Coordinate and administer occupational health and safety programs for UBC Facilities to identify and control risks, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices. This role involves developing and implementing safety programs, conducting site visits, delivering training, and investigating incidents to protect employees and the UBC community.

• Develop and implement Occupational Health and Safety Programs
• Conduct workplace hazard identification, evaluation, and control
• Provide consultation and conduct site visits for regulatory compliance
• Deliver health and safety training and develop training materials
• Investigate and assess occupational exposures and respond to emergencies
• Maintain Asbestos Management Program and provide guidance on safety issues
