AI & Machine Learning Engineer

USAA is seeking an AI & Machine Learning Engineer to join their team in San Antonio, TX. This hybrid role involves developing and implementing AI/ML solutions, including sentiment analysis and agentic AI applications, to enhance member service. Responsibilities include data preprocessing, model training, API building, and data pipeline engineering.

• Develop, test, and integrate machine learning models into business applications
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to refactor code and ensure IT maintainability
• Contribute to the full machine learning lifecycle: analysis, design, data pipeline engineering, testing, deployment, and API development
• Configure and manage AI/ML infrastructure in cloud/on-prem environments (AWS, GCP)
• 2+ years of experience in ML engineering, data engineering, or software development
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and ML libraries (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn)
