Research Scientist

The Schaeffer Institute at USC is seeking a Research Scientist to plan, design, and execute complex research projects focused on the value of life sciences innovation. This role involves independent research, data analysis, publication, and presentation, with a hybrid work arrangement of 3 days on-site per week. The position is a one-year appointment with the possibility of renewal based on securing external funding.

• Plan, design, and conduct specialized research projects independently
• Identify, research, compile, and evaluate data sources
• Analyze and interpret research data
• Develop research documentation for publications
• Present findings at academic conferences
• Provide leadership and guidance to staff and students
