ML Engineer, Agentic Systems

Viridien is seeking an ML Engineer to develop production agentic systems that automate complex geoscience workflows. You will design agent-based systems, integrate tools and APIs, manage persistent state, and provide agents with necessary context. This role involves shaping application logic, user experience, and LLM fine-tuning strategies to drive innovation in natural resource and energy transition challenges.

• Design and implement production agentic systems for geoscience workflows
• Integrate tools, external APIs, and manage persistent state
• Provide agents with context through tool-based search and semantic retrieval
• Design and execute LLM fine-tuning strategies (e.g., LoRA, DPO, GRPO)
• Build well-tested services with lightweight web interfaces
• Collaborate with domain experts and shape application logic and user experience
