Research Engineer, Benchmarks

Clera is seeking a Research Engineer to join a small, technical team focused on AI evaluation and reinforcement learning infrastructure. You will design and build rigorous benchmarks to assess AI agents on realistic, domain-specific workflows, providing critical insights into agent performance for research and engineering teams.

• Design and implement AI agent benchmarks for domain-specific tasks
• Build scalable infrastructure for running and evaluating AI agents
• Develop metrics and analyses for benchmark reliability and failure modes
• Collaborate with subject-matter experts to translate real-world workflows
• 2+ years experience in AI benchmarking or evaluation infrastructure
• Proficiency in Python, Docker, and Linux
