Senior Data Scientist

Nelnet Business Services is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead the development and implementation of machine learning models. This role involves working with large datasets, performing advanced statistical analysis, and mentoring junior team members. The position requires a PhD in a quantitative or programming discipline and strong skills in Python, SQL, AWS, and Azure.

• Lead development and implementation of machine learning models
• Conduct advanced statistical analyses and provide actionable recommendations
• Mine, clean, and process data from various sources including SQL, AWS, and Azure
• Build interactive dashboards and visualizations using PowerBI
• Mentor junior Data Scientists and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership
