Data Scientist

PayPal is seeking a Data Scientist in Chicago, IL to analyze large datasets, develop fraud prevention strategies, and optimize portfolio performance. This role involves collaborating with credit risk, product, and engineering teams to mitigate fraud and improve transaction declines, presenting insights to senior leaders, and managing end-to-end fraud loss.

• Analyze and process large datasets using statistical software
• Apply machine learning methods and data science techniques
• Develop and optimize fraud prevention and risk strategies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Credit Risk, Product, and Engineering
• Present regular updates and actionable insights to senior leaders
• Manage end-to-end fraud loss and decline rates
