Staff Research Scientist

Visa is seeking a Staff Research Scientist to lead research in Generative AI, focusing on areas like agentic coding, AI agents, and large language models. This role involves designing and exploring innovative AI architectures, developing prototypes, and collaborating with senior researchers and product teams to advance research projects towards scalable solutions. The position requires a PhD and extensive experience in machine learning and generative models, with proficiency in Python.

• Conduct research in Generative AI, agentic coding, AI agents, and LLMs
• Design and explore innovative AI model architectures and algorithms
• Develop prototypes and proof-of-concepts for AI capabilities
• Review academic literature and industry work for research opportunities
• Collaborate with senior researchers, engineers, and product teams
