ML Engineer (Ads Retrieval)

Join Toss as an ML Engineer on the Ads Retrieval team within the Applied AI Chapter. You will focus on improving the quality and performance of ad candidate generation and selection from a vast product catalog, addressing cold-start issues for new products, and connecting user needs with relevant ads to enhance both user experience and advertising effectiveness.

• Develop and improve models for ad candidate generation and selection
• Enhance retrieval and light ranker candidate quality
• Solve cold-start problems for new and low-data products
• Connect candidate quality improvements to actual performance metrics
• Experience developing candidate generation or selection models in recommendation, search, or ad services
• Ability to handle training data, evaluate model performance, and improve selection methods
