AI Scientist - Physics Models

Mistral is seeking an AI Scientist with expertise in engineering sciences and machine learning to advance AI-accelerated simulation. You will research and train foundational physics models for downstream applications, working across the full research stack from data curation to model evaluation. This role involves defining new architectures and training strategies to create generalizable models for diverse engineering tasks.

• Research and train novel foundation models for physics simulation
• Design and run large-scale simulation campaigns for high-fidelity datasets
• Investigate architectures and training strategies for model transferability
• Rigorously evaluate model coverage, accuracy, and robustness
• Stay on top of AI-for-engineering research developments
• PhD or Master's in CS/AI or an engineering science field
