AI Engineer

Scout AI is seeking an AI Engineer to develop and deploy multimodal foundation models for autonomous defense robots. You will work on core aspects of the system, including model training, evaluation, reasoning, and coordination, with opportunities to influence technical direction and company culture. This role is ideal for someone passionate about building the future of intelligent defense systems.

• Design, train, and evaluate multimodal foundation models for multi-robot missions
• Develop memory, communication, planning, and tool-use capabilities for AI agents
• Curate and generate large-scale training datasets
• Build and improve simulation environments for synthetic data generation and evaluation
• Translate foundational research into deployable, real-time systems
• Collaborate with engineering, robotics, and mission teams
