About this role

Apptronik is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join their ML Ops team for a 12-week fall project. You will work on building data annotation tooling and optimizing ML models for humanoid robots. This role involves improving the efficiency of models deployed on physical systems and contributing to turning ML research into production robot behavior.

What we are looking for

Build and extend data annotation tools for robot experience data
Optimize ML models using quantization, distillation, and inference profiling
Profile and benchmark optimized model performance on hardware
Integrate annotation outputs and model artifacts with existing infrastructure
Document tooling for adoption by other teams
Proficiency in Python, Docker, Kubernetes, and ML frameworks like PyTorch
