AI Engineer

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking an AI Engineer to support the development, deployment, and monitoring of machine learning models in production environments. This role focuses on applying MLOps practices to build scalable, secure, and reliable ML infrastructure within a healthcare setting. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate model requirements into operational solutions and ensure compliance with healthcare data governance and security protocols.

• Develop and refine ML deployment pipelines and workflows
• Implement and maintain model monitoring systems for performance and drift
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and DevOps teams
• Automate retraining, validation, and deployment processes
• Apply healthcare data governance and security protocols to ML systems
• Configure and optimize cloud infrastructure for ML workloads
