Staff Research Scientist - Physical AI / Multimodality

Snowflake is seeking a Staff Research Scientist to lead the development of next-generation training and learning platforms for physical AI. This role involves building models that perceive, reason about, and act within structured environments, focusing on representation learning, world models, and policy optimization. You will define technical direction, design infrastructure, develop models, and drive research-to-production pathways.

• Design and build scalable training infrastructure for representation models
• Develop latent world models for model-based reasoning and planning
• Architect and implement action/policy model pipelines
• Build generative simulator frameworks for physically plausible future states
• Lead cross-team technical decisions on training frameworks and evaluation
• Drive research-to-production pathways for AI capabilities
