Staff ML Engineer

Buildkite is seeking a Staff ML Engineer to lead the development of machine learning solutions within their Test Engine product. This role involves end-to-end ownership of ML strategy, architecture, and production models, focusing on optimizing CI/CD test execution by predicting which tests are most likely to fail. You will work with large-scale data and build a repeatable ML platform.

• Develop and own ML strategy, architecture, and production models for Test Engine
• Build ML systems to predict test failures and optimize CI/CD pipelines
• Work with large-scale data ingestion and test run history
• Generalize ML models across various languages and frameworks
• Ensure low latency for ML predictions in the critical path
• Ship and own ML models in production, focusing on reliability and monitoring
