Staff Data Scientist

As a Staff Data Scientist at Travelers, you will leverage advanced statistical techniques and machine learning to solve critical business challenges within the Claim Research team. You will build complex models, develop AI/ML capabilities, and communicate data-driven insights to stakeholders. This role offers the opportunity to influence technical strategy and mentor junior talent while working with cutting-edge data science tools.

• Lead development of analytical solutions and AI/Machine Learning best practices
• Build and evaluate complex models using advanced statistics and machine learning
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based applications and AI agents
• Communicate insights and guide technical strategy to business and technical leaders
• Mentor junior data scientists and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Subject matter expertise in 3-5 areas such as Regression, NLP, or Deep Learning
