Staff Applied Scientist

Qualtrics is seeking a Staff Applied Scientist to advance their Machine Learning and AI R&D. This role focuses on personalizing user experiences through ML/AI features, partnering with application teams to deliver algorithms and models. You will identify business needs for AI technologies, conduct rigorous ML modeling, and develop scalable GenAI applications.

• Leverage deep knowledge of AI principles including ML, NLP, computer vision, and reinforcement learning
• Develop and optimize algorithms for scalable and efficient GenAI applications
• Design and execute sophisticated evaluation strategies for agentic systems
• Work in a multidisciplinary team to research, implement, and productize ML models
• Mentor junior scientists and drive best practices for ML model lifecycle management
• 7+ years of industrial research experience in ML, NLP, or deep learning
