Sr. Machine Learning Scientist

Roche is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Scientist to join their AI for Drug Discovery group. This role focuses on developing internal reasoning Large Language Models (LLMs) to accelerate drug discovery tasks, including biomolecular design. You will lead technical implementation, own large-scale training runs, and mentor junior staff.

• Lead design and evolution of scientific reasoning systems
• Improve model performance on scientific tasks
• Translate biological and chemical domain knowledge into ML objectives
• Architect and improve large-scale distributed ML systems
• Move models from research prototypes to production-ready systems
• Technical mentor to junior staff and interns
