Senior / Principal ML Scientist, Foundation Models for Life Sciences

Lila Sciences is seeking a Senior or Principal ML Scientist to research and develop large-scale generative models for life science applications. This role involves defining and driving research at the intersection of machine learning and biology, designing and implementing foundational models end-to-end, and collaborating with experimental scientists to accelerate discovery.

• Drive research on foundation models for life science applications
• Design, train, and evaluate large-scale generative models on biological and chemical data
• Contribute to end-to-end ML process within Lila's 'Lab-in-the-Loop' lifecycle
• Translate complex biological questions into well-defined ML problems
• Advance research standards and methodology within the foundation models program
• Represent Lila's foundation model research externally through publications
