Engineering Lead - Data and Applied AI

Lead the evolution of data technologies and AI at Barclays, driving innovation and operational excellence. You will build and manage robust, scalable, and secure applications using cutting-edge technology and responsible AI practices.

• Design, develop, and improve software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages and tools
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and strategies
• Promote a culture of code quality, knowledge sharing, and secure coding practices
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and contribute to technical communities
• Experience in Applied AI (Claude CLI, OpenAI SDK, RAG, LangChain, vector databases)
• Working knowledge of AWS services (Python, IAM, S3, Lambda, ECS, EKS)
