Research Engineer, Robot Learning

1X is seeking a Research Engineer to develop and optimize sim2real reinforcement learning (RL) training pipelines for humanoid robots. You will train and test robot policies, model physical systems to bridge the simulation-to-real gap, and work with human motion data. This role involves supporting the testing and debugging of RL policies on both simulated and physical hardware.

• Develop sim2real RL training pipelines for humanoid robots
• Train and test robot policies using reinforcement learning
• Model physical systems and robot dynamics for sim2real transfer
• Collect, clean, and retarget human motion data for RL training
• Support testing and debugging of RL policies on simulation and hardware
• Implement production-grade Python and C++ code for ML pipelines and real-time systems
