Principal / Senior Principal Scientist, Small Molecule Therapeutics

Lila Sciences is seeking a Senior Principal Scientist to lead protein science and structural biology for small molecule therapeutics. This role involves overseeing recombinant protein construct design, expression, purification, and structural biology workflows to support drug discovery. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage external partners while developing internal capabilities.

• Lead protein science strategy for small molecule programs
• Oversee recombinant protein expression and purification with external partners
• Develop roadmap for in-house protein expression and purification capabilities
• Lead construct design and protein engineering efforts
• Manage outsourced X-ray crystallography and Cryo-EM activities
• Establish quality-control expectations for protein reagents
