AI Engineering Lead

Leidos is seeking an AI Engineering Lead to guide the AI engineering strategy for the Leidos Common Automation Platform (L-CAP), a critical system for air traffic management. You will integrate AI-augmented development tools and machine learning capabilities into the engineering workflow, focusing on an AI-first mindset to enhance delivery and quality. This role requires a strong background in AI/ML engineering and leadership, with a focus on responsible AI in safety-critical environments.

• Lead AI engineering strategy and roadmap development for L-CAP
• Design and implement MLOps pipelines for model development and deployment
• Establish AI-augmented development practices across engineering teams
• Evaluate, pilot, and deploy AI development tools
• Mentor engineering teams on AI/ML best practices and responsible AI principles
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities with the L-CAP platform architecture
