Principal, Machine Learning Engineer

Lila Sciences is seeking a Principal Machine Learning Engineer to design, build, and scale ML infrastructure for AI-driven scientific discovery in medicine. This role involves owning end-to-end ML systems, from training pipelines to deployment, and collaborating with AI scientists and researchers to advance the next generation of capabilities.

• Design and optimize large-scale training pipelines for generative models
• Own production ML systems including deployment, serving, monitoring, and reliability
• Architect ML infrastructure for rapid iteration on scientific workloads
• Drive the engineering side of the "Lab-in-the-Loop" lifecycle
• Define and advance ML engineering standards and best practices
• Collaborate with AI scientists to translate research into scalable production systems
