About this role
The Ressl Laboratory in the Department of Neuroscience is seeking a Research Engineering/Scientist Associate III to support research on synapse structure and function, with a focus on biomarker discovery for age-related brain changes and neurodegenerative diseases. This role involves hands-on laboratory work, including cell culture, protein characterization, and microscopy, as well as operational lab management.
What we are looking for
6- Conduct eukaryotic cell culture and protein expression
- Perform protein purification and biochemical/biophysical characterization
- Utilize electron microscopy for imaging and analysis
- Manage laboratory operations, including ordering and safety compliance
- Support research on synapse health relevant to aging and neurodegeneration
- Work independently with minimal supervision
