AI/Machine Learning Engineer

Join an internal incubator at 3M to build a new AI architecture and technical category. You will convert Python research code into scalable Rust production components, develop tests and simulations, and optimize performance. This role offers the chance to work with experienced researchers and engineers on cutting-edge AI systems.

• Translate Python research code into production-ready Rust components
• Build and maintain various types of tests and simulations
• Implement stable interfaces within a modular architecture
• Profile and improve performance and scalability of AI systems
• Support containerization, CI/CD, and deployment automation
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers on AI requirements and tradeoffs
