About this role

Raft is seeking a Lead AI/ML Software Engineer to drive the architecture and technical direction of their AI Mission System. This role involves hands-on coding, setting technical standards, and mentoring engineers while working with cutting-edge AI/ML and distributed systems for U.S. military and government clients.

Drive major technical epics from conception to delivery
Simplify and rationalize distributed system architecture
Optimize platform performance for edge and cloud deployments
Establish strong engineering foundations and reusable technical patterns
Mentor engineers and conduct design reviews
