Research Scientist

The Center for Effective Organizations at USC Marshall School of Business seeks a Research Scientist to bridge academic theory and practical business strategy. You will conduct independent research, analyze complex data sets, and partner with executives at Fortune 500 organizations to improve organization design, talent strategy, and workforce performance. This role involves publishing scientific papers, writing industry reports, and presenting findings at conferences.

• Formulate and conduct independent research on organization design, workforce agility, and AI transformation
• Collect and analyze complex quantitative and qualitative data from surveys, interviews, and diagnostics
• Partner with executives to align organizational structures with strategic goals and develop actionable frameworks
• Publish scientific papers and practitioner-focused articles in top-tier journals
• Present research findings at academic conferences and industry executive forums
• Secure external funding through corporate sponsorships, grants, and contracts
