Research Scientist

Stevens Institute of Technology seeks a Research Scientist to develop AI-powered tools for regulatory analysis and rulemaking. This role involves applying AI, NLP, and data science to analyze complex textual datasets, assist in identifying policy changes, and support the generation of regulatory language. The scientist will prototype and evaluate AI solutions to improve efficiency in regulatory processes.

• Develop and refine AI/NLP techniques for analyzing regulatory and policy documents
• Build AI tools to identify changes in FAR/DFARS regulations
• Create methods for classifying and summarizing information from complex texts
• Develop AI-assisted approaches for generating draft regulatory content
• Design data visualizations for communicating text analytics and NLP results
• Rapidly prototype, test, and modify software for AI evaluation
