Data Scientist

Edwards Lifesciences is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their Implantable Heart Failure Management team in Irvine, CA. This role focuses on developing and validating AI/ML models for clinical and product domains, with a strong emphasis on regulatory documentation for FDA submissions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve patient care through pioneering technology.

• Own modeling for clinical or product domains from framing through validation
• Select and adapt model architectures for various data modalities
• Apply statistical methods like survival analysis and causal inference
• Design offline evaluation, calibration, and clinical performance validation strategies
• Author submission-grade model documentation for regulatory compliance
• Evaluate and adapt current AI/ML research for health applications
