Research Scientist I

Health Research, Inc. is seeking a Research Scientist I to support grant-funded studies in vector biology and vector-borne virus transmission. This onsite role involves maintaining insectary laboratories, conducting experimental infections in live vectors, and processing samples. The position is part of the New York State Department of Health's efforts to protect public health.

• Support grant-funded studies in vector biology and virus transmission
• Maintain insectary laboratories, including high-containment facilities
• Perform experimental infections in live vectors
• Process and test experimental and field-derived samples
• Bachelor's degree in science with 2 years of research experience or Master's with 1 year
• Experience with arthropods, virology, and molecular biology techniques preferred
