Machine Learning Engineer II

We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer II to design and develop advanced machine learning software and systems for Earth System Science applications. You will build scalable, maintainable software to train, evaluate, deploy, and operate ML models using large-scale Earth science datasets and high-performance computing. This role involves translating scientific requirements into computational solutions and collaborating with a team of experts.

• Design and implement scalable ML software and systems for Earth System Science
• Train, evaluate, and deploy ML models using modern programming languages and frameworks
• Develop robust workflows and infrastructure for ML data preparation, training, and deployment
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to translate requirements into software solutions
• Analyze and optimize the performance of ML applications
• Maintain knowledge of current ML engineering practices and technologies
