Research Scientist

Lead diverse research projects in genomics, epigenetics, and gene regulation at UBC. This senior role involves strategic and operational leadership, overseeing multiple funded research streams, managing high-dimensional data generation, and conducting complex bioinformatic analyses. You will also supervise staff and trainees, and collaborate with international partners.

• Provide strategic, technical, and operational leadership for research projects
• Oversee multi-cohort human population studies and cell-based simulation studies
• Direct high-dimensional data generation (genotyping, DNA methylation, proteomics, mRNA expression)
• Conduct integrative bioinformatic analyses of multi-omic and phenotype data
• Supervise and mentor research staff and trainees
• Coordinate with international collaborators and ensure successful data delivery
