Translational AI Engineer

As a Translational AI Engineer at Pfizer, you will bridge the gap between promising AI prototypes and robust, production-ready systems for scientific research. You will translate complex scientific needs into reliable AI solutions, focusing on building the data, evaluation, and deployment infrastructure to ensure these tools are trustworthy and scalable for computational biology, immunology, and clinical teams.

• Design and build fit-for-purpose AI/ML systems for scientific workflows
• Harden AI-assisted prototypes into scalable, production-ready systems
• Establish data platforms, ETL, and deployment infrastructure
• Develop evaluation harnesses to ensure system quality and identify failure modes
• Evaluate commercial AI/ML tools against build-vs-buy criteria
• Collaborate with scientific and clinical partners to define benchmarks and drive iteration
