Principal Machine Learning Engineer

Amgen is seeking a Principal Machine Learning Engineer to own enterprise AI/ML architecture, standards, and guardrails across cloud and on-premise environments. You will develop, deploy, and monitor machine learning and generative AI solutions, acting as a player-coach to establish strategy and technical standards. This role involves building end-to-end ML pipelines, full-stack AI applications, and architecting LLM/RAG solutions to deliver impactful insights securely and cost-effectively.

• Own enterprise AI/ML architecture, standards, APIs, and guardrails
• Build production ML/GenAI solutions and lightweight apps
• Develop end-to-end ML pipelines using MLOps stacks
• Architect LLM/RAG with prompt management and safety guardrails
• Establish observability, SLOs, and safe deploys
• Contribute reusable ML/GenAI components and evangelize best practices
