Lead Engineer

Raft is seeking a Lead Engineer to design, develop, and deploy AI/ML systems for U.S. military and government agencies. You will lead the entire AI solution lifecycle, from data ingestion to production deployment, while guiding a cross-functional team. This role involves working with customers to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance systems in mission-critical environments.

• Lead AI/ML system architecture and development
• Design and implement scalable ML pipelines
• Drive adoption of modern AI approaches including LLMs
• Design, train, and deploy Small Language Models
• Operationalize models in secure, containerized environments
• Mentor engineers and set technical direction
