Lead Research Engineer, Data Quality

Lead the data quality team at an early-stage AI evaluation infrastructure startup. You will shape the systems and research practices used to measure and improve training data for AI agents, ensuring it is useful, reliable, and representative of real-world tasks. This role involves developing scalable validation methods, setting data quality strategy, and mentoring research engineers.

• Lead development of systems to evaluate tasks across RL environments, synthetic data, benchmarks, and workflows
• Set data quality strategy by defining standards and building quality control systems
• Develop scalable synthetic data validation methods
• Investigate quality issues and improve data generation workflows with cross-functional teams
• Turn research insights into production tools, dashboards, and validation pipelines
• Mentor research engineers and promote technical rigor
