Senior Manager, AI/ML Applied Research

Lead and drive high-impact applied AI and machine learning initiatives within Vanguard's Investments and Finance divisions. You will translate complex business challenges into scientifically rigorous, scalable AI solutions, setting the scientific direction and mentoring a team of researchers and engineers. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

• Lead applied AI/ML initiatives in Investments and Finance
• Set scientific direction and develop research hypotheses
• Player-coach for a multidisciplinary team of researchers and engineers
• Establish and evolve standards for research quality and governance
• Partner with senior stakeholders to frame business challenges
• Present technical findings and recommendations to leadership
