Staff Computer Vision Scientist, Edge AI

SimpliSafe is hiring a Staff Computer Vision Scientist to lead the development of on-device machine learning models for outdoor home security monitoring. You will optimize computer vision models for real-time performance on resource-constrained embedded devices, balancing accuracy with latency, memory, and power constraints.

• Lead end-to-end development of edge ML models for outdoor monitoring
• Architect, train, and deploy transformer-based vision models for embedded inference
• Drive model efficiency through resource-aware design and training
• Translate product requirements into model targets for hardware deployment
• Partner with embedded/firmware teams to integrate models into production pipelines
• Set technical direction and mentor other ML engineers
