Applied ML Engineer

Sentient is seeking an Applied ML Engineer to bridge the gap between machine learning research and production software. In this end-to-end role, you will read research papers, build experiments, rigorously evaluate findings, and transform them into reliable, user-facing products. You'll work across model evaluation, inference infrastructure, and backend systems, ensuring that promising methods become measurable and usable tools.

• Build and evaluate ML systems from research papers to production
• Design evaluation datasets, probes, and experiment harnesses
• Work with model weights, logits, activations, and inference infrastructure
• Develop production-quality systems with APIs, observability, and testing
• Strong Python, PyTorch, and Hugging Face Transformers skills
• Experience building production software beyond notebooks
