Staff Research Scientist

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Research Scientist in Elkton, Maryland to lead technology research projects, investigate scientific principles for new products, and analyze data. This role involves defining research tasks, publishing findings, and presenting at conferences, with a focus on fundamental and applied research in solid-propellant propulsion and ordnance systems.

• Initiate design, development, execution, and implementation of technology research projects
• Investigate feasibility of applying scientific principles to inventions
• Define and execute research tasks, analyze data, and publish findings
• Present research at scientific conferences
• Maintain knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories
• Experience with solid propellants or energetics preferred
