Machine Learning Engineer

Roche is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to develop backend components and tooling for scientific agents within their AI for Drug Discovery organization. You will build the software layer connecting models to internal scientific capabilities, focusing on creating accessible APIs and maintaining infrastructure for agent workflows.

• Develop scientific tools with Python wrappers and API definitions
• Build backend services using modern web frameworks
• Implement data pipelines for Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Maintain infrastructure with Dockerfiles and CI/CD pipelines
• Integrate models into execution environments
• Write high-quality, modular, and well-tested code
