Machine Learning Engineer

POLITICO is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to develop and deploy AI-powered newsroom and product capabilities. You will build models, data pipelines, and evaluation frameworks that leverage editorial expertise to enhance reporting and workflows. • Design, build, and deploy production machine learning systems
• Develop classification, prediction, and ranking models using proprietary data
• Build datasets, feature engineering pipelines, and evaluation frameworks
• Experiment with foundation model adaptation techniques for journalism
• Partner with journalists and editors to translate editorial knowledge into ML features
• 5+ years of professional experience building or deploying ML systems
