Data Scientist

Applied Materials is seeking a Data Scientist to join their team in Bangalore, India. This role involves designing and developing methods to analyze diverse big data sources, performing statistical analysis, and building analytical models and algorithms. You will work with internal customers to understand requirements and support product development through sophisticated data analytics.

• Design and develop methods to analyze structured and unstructured big data
• Perform statistical and data-mining analysis using tools like R, SAS, and MATLAB
• Develop analytical models, algorithms, and automated processes
• Apply SQL and Python programming to cleanse and integrate large datasets
• Support product development with data analytics
• Interface with internal customers for requirements analysis
