About this role
The Department of Microbiology and Immunology is seeking a Research Scientist to lead mass spectrometry-based research programs. This role involves operating and optimizing LC-MS/MS and GC-MS platforms, developing analytical methods, and providing support for collaborative research projects. You will also train junior personnel and contribute to strategic planning for laboratory capabilities.
What we are looking for

- Identify and quantify metabolites, lipids, and biomolecules
- Operate, maintain, and optimize LC-MS/MS and GC-MS platforms
- Develop and validate analytical methods and workflows
- Train and mentor graduate students, postdocs, and personnel
- Contribute to strategic planning for instrumentation and new technologies
