About this role
The Nuclear Company is seeking an AI Engineer 1 intern to join their Platform Integration & AI/Data team. This role focuses on building and maintaining the backend, data, and integration layers for the Nuclear Operating System (NOS), a critical software platform for nuclear reactor deployment. You will gain hands-on experience with AI tooling, CI/CD, backend services, and data integrations within a fast-paced, AI-first startup environment.
What we are looking for
6- Build and maintain application and data integrations for the Nuclear Operating System
- Contribute to CI/CD and release tasks for repeatable builds
- Perform basic backend and DevOps work, including service building and platform monitoring
- Learn and contribute to Palantir Foundry and AI agent interfaces
- Collaborate with Platform Engineers, data scientists, and AI/ML engineers
- Gain experience in a regulated industry with an AI-first mindset
