About this role

Afresh is seeking a Staff AI Platform Engineer to build and scale the AI and data platform powering their grocery AI products. You will focus on the knowledge and retrieval layer, agent systems, and evaluation/serving infrastructure, enabling other engineers and AI products to reliably use grocery data with LLMs. This is a senior, foundational role in a fast-paced environment.

What we are looking for

Build and operate the knowledge graph and ontology for grocery data
Develop retrieval systems (vector, graph, structured) for LLM grounding
Construct LLM-powered agent systems and their serving infrastructure
Implement evaluation harnesses, tracing, and observability for AI systems
Create data pipelines and experimentation frameworks on Databricks/MLflow
Design and build platform abstractions for leverage and clean interfaces
