Autonomous Science Lead

Mecka AI is seeking an Autonomous Science Lead to ensure the scientific validity and reliability of automated laboratory work. You will own experimental methods, develop automated workflows, and lead laboratory operations. This role requires hands-on experience with laboratory automation, AI, and robotics, combined with strong problem-solving skills.

• Own experimental methods, including protocol selection, controls, and acceptance criteria
• Develop and qualify automated workflows with engineering specialists
• Establish scientific validity by evaluating results and investigating variability
• Lead laboratory operations, including staffing, equipment, and safety procedures
• Troubleshoot hands-on issues across instruments, hardware, and software
• Improve operating performance, assessing reproducibility, throughput, and cost
